Holland Circular Hotspot signs partnership with Chemport Europe and Groningen Seaports
Joining forces to expand green chemistry solutions and share knowledge on innovation hubs. and circular transition
Holland Circular Hotspot and Chemport Europe – Groningen Seaports have struck an alliance by signing a collaboration agreement. Together, they will work to foster a circular economy that harnesses the potential of bio-refinery, green chemistry, and green energy within and outside European borders, empowering circularity worldwide.
On September 14th, in The Hague (The Netherlands), the organisations have entered a strategic partnership that will strengthen their cooperation towards a circular transition as well as create new business opportunities in the chemical industry.
Areas of collaboration
After working together with Holland Circular Hotspot during various Dutch trade missions and initiatives, Chemport Europe and Groningen Seaports decided to partner with HCH.
This new collaboration builds upon a shared vision that promotes the Dutch approach and solutions in the field of the circular economy internationally. Drawing on their respective areas of expertise, the partnership between Chemport Europe Groningen Seaports and the Holland Circular Hotspot connections, creates a broad network for the green chemistry ecosystem.

As a Dutch frontrunner in sustainable chemistry, Chemport Europe has been actively engaged in developing an ecosystem that implements solutions for green chemistry in the Northern Netherlands area. Therefore, circular polymers and recycling occupy a very prominent position in the playing field, alongside bio-based raw materials and CO2 and hydrogen as raw materials.
